May 19, 2025 – Governor Ron DeSantis has appointed attorney Mark Robens to serve as a judge on Florida’s Sixth Judicial Circuit Court. Robens, a partner at Stichter, Riedel, Blain & Postler (SRBP) since 2022, joined the firm in 2013 after earning his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law. He fills the vacancy left by the retirement of Judge James Stearns.
Before pursuing a legal career, Mr. Robens graduated magna cum laude from St. John Vianney College Seminary in 2004. He initially worked as a computer programmer for a small software firm before choosing the legal profession for the rest of his career.
He began his legal studies at Stetson in 2010, where he became a member of the Stetson Law Review and focused on bankruptcy law and trial advocacy. During his time in law school, he received the William F. Blews Pro Bono Service Award in recognition of his extensive volunteer legal work.
During his twelve years at SRBP, Mr. Robens successfully represented his clients in numerous matters, with a primary focus on Chapter 11, Chapter 7, and Chapter 13. Clients and co-workers will miss Mark in the practice of law but wish him well in his new endeavor.
