Shareholder Edward J. Peterson will be the managing shareholder of the new Pensacola office, as well as the firm’s Destin office which it opened in 2013. Joining the firm as a resident attorney in the Pensacola office is Jodi Daniel Cooke, formerly with Beggs & Lane. Ms. Cooke received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida and her Bachelor of Arts degree, magna cum laude, from the University of West Florida. She is licensed to practice in the states of Florida, Alabama, and Texas, served as the President of the Northern District Bankruptcy Bar Association in 2010-2011, and currently serves as the Secretary of the Escambia-Santa Rosa Bar Association. Ms. Cooke has been awarded the highest attorney rating of “AV- Preeminent Lawyer” by the Martindale Hubbell Law Directory. She has been recognized as a Florida “Super Lawyer” in the area of bankruptcy law and as a “rising star” by Florida Trend Magazine. She is certified by the Florida Supreme Court to mediate circuit civil cases, and is authorized by the Northern District of Florida to mediate Chapter 13 mortgage modification disputes. She also serves on the advisory board of the Downtown Pensacola YMCA. Ms. Cooke will practice in the areas of bankruptcy and insolvency and debtor-creditor litigation.
