Founding shareholder Don M. Stichter will become Of Counsel to the firm effective January 1, 2016. Mr. Stichter has been engaged in the practice of law for more than fifty-five years and will continue to provide sage advice to the firm and its clients in his new role, while taking more time to pursue his many other interests. Throughout his distinguished career, Mr. Stichter has received numerous awards and recognition. He served as president of the Hillsborough County Bar Association from 1972 to 1973 and was inducted in 1990 as one of the first three Florida lawyers or judges selected as a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy. He was named Outstanding Lawyer in Hillsborough County by the Hillsborough County Bar Association (2001) and was awarded the Thirteenth Judicial Circuit 2015 Professionalism Award on October 27, 2015. He was the first president of the Tampa Bay Bankruptcy Bar Association and the first recipient of its Douglas P. McClurg Professionalism Award, presented in May 2004. Mr. Stichter has been listed in "Best Lawyers in America" in the area of Bankruptcy and Business Reorganization for more than twenty-five years.
